Downtown Chicago has an endless list of hotels to pick from. Knowing that many who are traveling have preferred brands (get those points!) or would rather save vs. splurge, we aren’t asking that everyone stay at the same hotel.
We’ve included a few recommendations below and where some family and friends are planning to stay, but please make arrangements that best suit your needs.
Whether you fly into O’Hare or Midway, you have a few options to get downtown:
Follow the signs around baggage claim that will point you in the direction of the rideshare area and request a ride.
Similar to rideshares, Taxis have their own area so please follow the signs to hop in a cab.
You can take the Blue Line directly from O’Hare (follow the signs to Public Transit). Similarly at Midway, you can take the Orange Line directly from the airport. If you plan to use public transit for the weekend, we recommend purchasing a Weekend CTA Pass.
Please note that if your flight lands around peak traffic time (3-6pm), rideshares and taxis will be expensive. Depending on the traffic, weather, and demand, rideshares and taxis into downtown average between $60-$70.
